Well, who was really a "Pretty Thing", who could be lucky (or unlucky?!) to play sometime with the "Pretties"? A big problem of the band was the fluctuation of members which lasted over many years; some of the musicians did hold out only a few months, others stayed for years. The only fixed points seemed to be the two founders of the Pretty Things, Phil May and Dick Taylor, but even the latter disappeared for nearly 10 year from the band's life.
