A talented multi-instrumentalist, Gordon had been with Skip Alan in Sunshine, a band that recorded an album for Warner Brothers. He composed several songs for the Silk Torpedo and Savage Eye LPs, which featured his keyboards, guitar, and vocals. He was a member of the Electric Banana crew that recorded Hot Licks for De Wolfe in 1973 and Gordon persevered after Phil May quit The Pretty Things in 1976 as the remaining guys became (briefly) Metropolis. He subsequently joined The Kinks for their 1978 Misfits tour of the USA. |
