In the beginning God created heaven, earth and the Pretty Things - but meanwhile we all know this fact. What came later was a long and very changing history of changes concerning the members, wrong decisions (look at "Emotions") and commercial failures, which had brought each other band to the edge of self-solution - but the "Pretties" survived all depths of their career.

They started as "rock 'n' roll rowdys", were degraded to a Midsixties pop band for a short time, became pioneers of psychedelic rock beside The Pink Floyd, wrote and recorded the first rock opera and in 1970 the "album of the year" (Rolling Stone), played in the Seventies mainstream rock on the Led Zeppelin label "Swan Song", until they finally separated in 1976.

However, we all know "final" separations (look at The Who), the Pretty Things regrouped until now in different line-ups, recorded some albums and they are still very active in live performances.

But now let other people tell their stories about the Pretty Things, their experiences and memories.
